Biography

Franck Gérard (b. 1969) is a French visual artist whose practice spans black-and-white photography, digital painting, and hybrid forms. His work explores the materiality of contemporary images through grain, blur, light, and the fragmentation of the body. Each piece emerges from a dialogue between digital processes, pictorial interventions, and fine art printing on noble supports, affirming the primacy of the physical object.

While Franck Gérard occasionally employs artificial intelligence as a visual resource and a tool for transformation, it remains part of a broader research framework where technological experimentation meets manual gesture. His corpus reflects on disappearance, metamorphosis, and the place of the image in our relationship to time.

With an international audience of more than 300,000 followers on Instagram, Franck Gérard’s work resonates both with galleries and collectors and with a wider public engaged in the shifting landscape of contemporary imagery.

In parallel to his artistic practice, Franck Gérard collaborates within the fields of luxury, luxury hospitality, and show production, creating distinctive visual projects that extend his artistic vision into communication and creative direction at an international level.
